COAS offers customers a cheaper way to buy items from our
store! Bring in books, movies, audiobooks, CDs, or games. For anything that we
can take in, we’ll give you credit that will significantly lower your bill when
you’re done shopping! Even
though we use dollar amounts for our trade, used trade credit holds no cash value.
Mass Market Paperbacks
Paperback credit is given for mass-market paperbacks
only. Credit is given according to the publisher’s price on the cover of the
book. When buying books from the designated paperback section, the cover price
is deducted from your accumulated paperback credit, and you pay 25% of that
amount.
Example: If you have $50 in Mass Market Paperback Credit and you find a Mass Market you like that is $3.95. We take $3.95 from your credit and you only pay $0.99 (25% of $3.95). Then you still have $46.05 in your Mass Market Credit.
General Used Credit
This is credit for USED merchandise in the store, except what is covered by the Paperback Credit. Receiving General Used Credit: COAS typically gives an amount that is a percentage of what we will price the item at. Applying your General Used Credit: When purchasing items using this credit, up to 75% of the sale can be covered by credit, you simply pay the 25% not covered by credit, plus tax.
Example: If you have $50 in General Credit and you find a book / CD / movie / etc you like that is $10.00. We take $7.50 from your credit and
you only pay $2.50 (25% of $10.00). Then you still have $42.50 left in your General Credit.
It doesn't matter which store you bring your used items into, or which store
you shop at; your trade credit is useable at any location.
