COAS Books, Inc. is a new & used bookstore with one of the largest used book inventories available anywhere (over 550,000 books in-stock!). We buy, sell, and trade used books, CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, Audio books, games and more!  

Founded by archaeologist Patrick H. Beckett in 1984, COAS initially started out as a archaeological publishing business (COAS is the Nahatual term out of Mexico meaning "digging sticks") Eventually, Pat realized that book-selling was a business that he enjoyed and COAS: My Bookstore became an official "side-business". The store grew quickly and has expanded into a family owned/operated business.

In 2007 Patrick’s son Mike and his wife Veronica took over the stores. In 2011, the third generation of Becketts entered the family business when Brett Beckett became the manager of the Internet Sales Department and Brandon Beckett started in book keeping.
