The new
COAS store is at 1101 S. Solano, it used to be Lee's Waterbeds, the
store
hours are Monday - Saturday 9:00am to 7pm and Sunday 11:00am -
5:00pm. The phone number is

The new store has paperbacks,
hardbacks, audio books, CDs, VHS, and DVD movies. The trade
credit
will work the same as the downtown location.. The credit will be
transferable between locations. If you already have credit at the
downtown store,
you will be able to use it at the new store and vice versa.
How our
trade works
We use two different color cards for our
trade, which are yellow and green card. Even though
we use dollar amounts for our trade, there is
no cash value. Each color
represents a
different type of credit for books that are brought in.
Yellow Card or Mass Market Paperbacks
The yellow card is for general mass market size
paperbacks such as mystery, suspense, romance. It works as cover
price in,
cover price out, and you
will pay 25% of cover. For example, if you bring in a mass market
paper back
with a $5.99 cover price on it, we will give you $5.99 in trade
credit.
When you buy a mass market paperback with a $5.99 cover price, we
will deduct $5.99 from your credit. You pay 25% of the amount
that comes off the yellow card. A $5.99 book will cost you $1.50 + tax.
Green Card or Anything Used
The green card is for anything else used in the
store such as hardbacks, over sized paperbacks, movies, audio books,
CDs, and
games. You receive in credit a percentage, usually a 1/3 or 1/2,
of what we intend to
sell the book for and you pay only 10% when you
use the credit. For
example, if you bring us a full length VHS for credit you may receive
$3.00 at best because we intend to sell it for $6.00. If you want
to buy something that cost $3.00, that $3.00 will come off your credit,
and you would pay $0.30 + tax.
Besides getting books for a cheaper price, there are
also other benefits to our trade credit system because the credit does
not expire and you can establish credit at any time. Thank you
